15 WATTS OF HANDWIRED FILLMORE TONE

The FE 15 Duane Head brings the Duane-inspired Fillmore East voice into a compact, handwired amplifier head, giving you the freedom to pair it with the cabinet and speaker combination of your choice.

Built around a point-to-point handwired circuit housed in an aluminum chassis, the FE 15 uses 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of EL84s in the power section for a responsive, harmonically rich feel that comes alive as the amp is pushed.

We use beefier output and mains transformers to provide greater headroom, stability and low-end authority, while tube rectification adds the natural response and compression associated with great vintage tube amplifiers.

15 OR 7 WATTS

Our Half Power Switch lets you choose between the full 15-watt output or 7 watts.

Run it at 15 watts when you want greater headroom, punch and volume, or switch down to 7 watts when you want to push the amplifier harder at more manageable levels.

Combined with our post-phase-inverter master volume, the FE 15 gives you exceptional control over both volume and feel, from home and recording levels to club and stage use.

THREE-POSITION VOICING CONTROL

The FE 15 isn't locked into a single Fillmore voice.

The three-position voicing control lets you move from the warmer, rounder and harmonically rich Duane-inspired voice, through an in-between setting that blends characteristics of both, and into the clearer, tighter and more articulate Dickey-inspired voice.

The HYBRID JBL D120 is also available with Extension Cabs

A contributing sonic factor in the Fillmore Tone is the sound of the JBL D120 speaker. And we have perfected the Hybrid version at a much lower cost. The speaker starts with a Peavey Black Widow and a 4-inch voice coil and we recone them with exact JBL D120 parts for a much better-voiced speaker. Better bottom-end clarity than original JBL D120’s. And they are 15% louder than and original D Series speaker at lower volumes. A perfect match! Vintage JBL D120’S are available when we have stock. (Please email for current inventory)

Optional Spring Reverb

Both models are available with true spring reverb. Reverb can be a really powerful musical spice. Most recordings include some kind of reverb to create dimension and space. Part of the Magic for the Fillmore Recordings was the Fillmore room itself. Whether you are playing a small gig or jamming at home or even the large venues, having onboard reverb adds to your overall tone.
