22 WATTS OF HANDWIRED FILLMORE TONE

The FE 22 Dickey Combo brings the Dickey-inspired Fillmore East voice into a handwired 1x12 amplifier with increased headroom, clarity and authority while retaining the articulation and singing sustain at the heart of the Dickey-inspired sound.

Built around a point-to-point handwired circuit housed in an aluminum chassis, the FE 22 uses 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of EL84s in the power section for a responsive, harmonically rich feel with the clarity, definition and singing sustain at the heart of the Dickey-inspired voice.

We use beefier output and mains transformers to provide greater headroom, stability and low-end authority, while tube rectification adds the natural response and feel associated with great vintage tube amplifiers.

22 OR 10 WATTS

Our Half Power Switch lets you choose between the full 22-watt output or 10 watts.

Run it at 22 watts when you want greater clean headroom, punch and stage authority, or switch down to 10 watts when you want to push the amplifier harder at more manageable levels.

Combined with our post-phase-inverter master volume, the FE 22 gives you exceptional control over both volume and feel, making it equally at home in the studio, smaller venues or opened up on stage.

THREE-POSITION VOICING CONTROL

The Dickey version is built around the clearer, more articulate side of the Fillmore East sound, but you're not locked into a single voice.

The three-position voicing control lets you move from the clearer, tighter and more articulate Dickey-inspired voice, through an in-between setting that blends characteristics of both, and toward the warmer, rounder and harmonically richer Duane-inspired voice.

The HYBRID Speaker Design

A contributing sonic factor in the amplifier is the way the sound of the Hybrid speaker captures that JBL D120 midrange and punch. The speaker starts with a Peavey Black Widow and 4-inch voice coil and we recone them with exact JBL D120 parts for a much better-voiced speaker. Better bottom-end clarity than original JBL D120’s. And they are 15% louder than and original D Series speaker at lower volumes. A perfect match! Vintage JBL D120’S are available when we have stock. (Please email for current inventory)

JBL D 120 Speaker Upgrade Option

All of our models are available for a Vintage JBL D120 Speaker Upgrade just like Duane & Dickey used. These speakers have been reconed with a true paper to the edge D120 Kit for the exact tone. Drop us an email or feel free to call us for availability.

Optional Spring Reverb

Both models are available with true spring reverb. Reverb can be a really powerful musical spice. Most recordings include some kind of reverb to create dimension and space. Part of the Magic for the Fillmore Recordings was the Fillmore room itself. Whether you are playing a small gig or jamming at home or even the large venues, having onboard reverb adds to your overall tone.
