Channeling the legendary Dickey Betts:

Introducing the Highway 41 Overdrive. Crafted to meticulously capture the signature tones of Allman Brothers guitarist Dickey Betts.

This pedal delivers the warm, saturated overdrive that defined his sound from the smooth sustain, dynamic response, and expressive textures that fueled his iconic playing in the 1980's - 1990's and beyond. His live tones are simply impeccable, fat - articulate and plenty of sustain.

And we didn't stop with his more recent tones and drive, we also added Vintage Voicing with the flip of the toggle switch that allows the player to dial in his earlier magical tones as heard in performances from the Fillmore East to Brothers and Sisters.

"Good Clean Fun", "Seven Turns", "End of the Line" to "Blue Sky", and "Jessica" can all be obtained with this Tribute to the Ramblin Man. The Highway 41 has a wide range of tonal capabilities that make you stand out.

The pedal is very dynamic and has the sonic qualities of a tube amp. It responds very well to your playing dynamics, and can produce a wide range of tones.

The toggle switch allows you to select between two different voicings and eras of tone:

  • Position V1 : Is set for the vintage tones of the 1970's
  • Position M2 : Brings in the modern tones from the 1980's and onward

The toggle in position in V1 is perfect for getting those signature Betts tones recorded in the 1970's. It has plenty of and warm tube like tones with clean biting edge that sings and has plenty of headroom and articulation.

Position M2 is a overdriven sound with a warm fat midrange growl when you have the gain set a little higher. Single coil players are going to love this setting. It is a versatile sound that can be used for a variety of different purposes. Add a little reverb and delay and hear all the endless possibilities

* To get the signature "Good Clean Fun" and other tones from the 90's, set the toggle switch to M2 and cut the gain up above 12 noon and set the volume at the best level for your amp. This will give you a fat, warm sound with plenty of articulation. Dialing the voice up will add in more of those JBL speaker tones. Setting the tone just past noon on the dial will add more singing sustain.

* To get the beautiful early 70's searing clean tones, set the toggle switch to the V1 position and bring the gain down a little while raising he volume level up. This will give you a slightly overdriven sound with a clean tone that has enough punch and sustain. You can also experiment with the Voice control to dial in as much JBL like upper mid's tones as needed for your rig.

* For the ultimate Dickey Betts experience, pair the Highway 41 Overdrive with our Peach Bucker humbucker set. The Peach Buckers are meticulously crafted to deliver the warmth, clarity, and punch that defined Betts' signature sound. Together, they create an unbeatable combination.

*True Bypass.
